1/19/09 - Vet visit. He states that Cletus, Felon, and Samaurai are malnourished and it appears that it they have not been getting enough for some time. Cletus is still dehydrated but is on his way back. Felon is in slightly better shape, but not significantly. Samaurai is the best looking of the three. He says to feed them twice a day to allow them to get proper amount of food per day and not overload their system. He says they cannot stay outside as they have no body fat and to only go outside for potty breaks. He says that Cletus and Felon are emaciated. He recommends a 5 day worming regimen, feed them, access to water, and keep them warm and they should pull through. He did ask why we would let our dogs go to someone who would take such poor care of them, I said I didn't know why it went down this way. He also said that he has found that when someone breeds dogs, and does not allow you to see their location that it typically means that the conditions are poor. He suggested we call the Animal Control for the county that they were housed in.

Iron Mike placed. He is being well cared for and kept in the house.

No matter what, I still don't understand what merited such treatment for these dogs.
Nothing could ever condone such cruelty as starving to death.
